Ever felt like the whole world was against you?
It's no fun being alone, and when you are it can be
miserable and unbearable.
Nobody is perfect, including me.

Satan wants everyone to feel miserable and lonely, so I encourage you to fight it!

Here are three ideas to solve this problem:

1. Read the Bible
                  2. Do things with your family

 3. Help and serve

Though The Good And The Bad

Not everything in the life of a missionary kid is bright and cheery,
everyone has their ups and downs.

You get to see kids grow up knowing God.

You get to see people receive the gospel.

You get to see people engaged in missions.

You get to see family go tell the world about God.

And yes, these are some of the ups, some of the downs are:

The kids my age that drink or smoke.

The people that reject the Bible.

Knowing you more than likely won't get to see family members for a few years.

But even if you can't bring someone to Christ, or you're bad at the language,
or the tribal kids laugh at you, try it again, don't be discouraged.
There's good and bad, but God uses the bad for good.

Psalms 112:7

They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them.

It's Not Easy Being Me

A lot of times, we want to be what other people want us to be.

Things like being: popular, rich, beautiful, handsome, cool, smart, funny and serious.
These are just some of the things people think that they have to be.

As an MK, I have seen Paraguayans and Americans alike try to get excepted by others.
I have seen kids do things like act all serious, when really,
they are the type who enjoy telling jokes.
It's important to be yourself.
                                                                  Titus 2:7
And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

If You Could

1. If you could go to any three places where would you go?

2. If you could meet any three people who would you meet?

3. If you could do any three things what would you do?

4. If you could be like any three people who would you be like?

5. If you could eat any three kinds of food what would they be?

6. If you could speak any three languages what would they be?

Sometimes for fun I ask myself questions like these, to pass the time or to be able to look forward to something. It's actually pretty fun!

And it's cool to ask your family members or friends because you never know what they are going to say. It's like a "If I could" dream we get sometimes.

Proverbs 13:12

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life

Trip To The Unknown

A few days ago I went to a Lengua village to help take video, visit and just have fun!
The Lengua was the first tribe my great grandparents worked at,
many years later I get to meet them, and maybe someday work with them too.

When we got to the place where we would stay the night, I found two big snail shells,
(I love finding and collecting big snail shells) And we also saw two snakes, a huge wasp, two emu and a tarantula.

We had a great time visiting with some missionaries that lives there, eating a delicious lunch with the Lengua, celebrating with the Lengua as they got Audio Bibles in the New Testament.

Ever found out something that you totally never expected?

Like..... going to the dentist and finding out that you are going to need braces for about two years?

Yeah, that is what I found out yesterday. And it was a surprise!
And really after I played the idea of me with braces on, it didn't sound that bad.
Why are some people so worried about trying something new?

I am an MK! I have to try new things, from the food, to new friends!
And I can't wait to see what God's plan for me is!
