MKs 'Things'

MKs, Christians, Missionaries, none of us are perfect or better than the other.
I'll admit, we do some different 'things'.
Everyone is different but there are just some things that MKs do
that I've never seen anyone else do.

(1)
Even if you aren't best friends or you just met an MK,
you can talk about almost anything.
Books, movies, history, science, computers, cars, places, etc.

(2)
Walking barefoot.
Whether an Mk is playing soccer or
running on a thorn infested area, barefoot is an MK's... anthem.

(3)
Being an MK is sort of like joining a club,
once you agree to join you get a whole family.

(4)
Culture.
I was told that MKs where being called TCKs
(Third Culture Kids) now in the U.S.
"I don't care if the world thinks I'm old fashioned,
I am and always will be an MK."
(That's right there is the pride of an MK)

(5)
Everyone has their taste in music, it's the same with MKs.
Personally, I figure if it was written to glorify God why not listen to it?
I expand my variety because if I don't its called being 'close minded'.

(6)
Being homeschooled is a big thing in the MK world.

That's it for now, if I can think of more there with probably be a part 2.

Encourage Them (December 2017)

Once a month I will write a little bit of encouragement for men and women.
Encouragement is one of the branches on God's tree.
I don't know how many people are willing to take the advice
of a thirteen-year-old but I hope you forget about my age and
focus on the advice.
Forget and focus, that's all I'm asking.

To men:
It's okay to admit your weak, God will make you strong, just ask Him.

To women:
God created us to be more emotional than men, it's okay to cry, talk to God.

To boys:
You don't have to be Mr. Tough Guy or someone else, be you.

To girls:
I know you like that boy but let him pursue you or you'd be wasting your time.

That's the first one, if you like it then I will continue to do more.

Book Review: The War Rages On

I have read this book twice it is so good!
Cecelia Schmidt is an amazing writer,
if your daughter needs a good book this is it!
It's not too long but it's not to short either.

Book Review: Do Hard Things

Besides starting an article series I'm also doing some book reviews.
I love reading and writing so I figured why not?

Do Hard Things is a great book.
I learned a lot when I read it.
Alex and Brett did what they had to do.
It's important, especially these days, for teenagers to do hard things,
to realize that staying in a little box (or comfort zone) isn't going to help,
because when you are in your fifties you are going to look back and think:
WHAT DID I ACTUALLY DO?

“The teen years are not a vacation from responsibility,
they are the training ground of future
leaders who dare to be responsible”
― Alex Harris

We wonder why some of our parents don't let us do things.
If we can prove that we can be responsible others will see.
Sacrifice that "precious time" and do something that's worth your time.
Serve others and they will see that you care.
Sometimes it's hard for people to ask for help so offer it.

Teens and teenagers don't have to feel alone,
they have the best friend anyone could ever ask for.

And this is a challenging book for anyone who likes to read.

Book Review: End Of The Spear

The End Of The Spear is another Christian book about
about the son of one of the five missionaries that were killed in Ecuador.

“Your story is the greatest legacy that you will leave to your friends.
It's the longest-lasting legacy you will leave to your heirs.”
― Steve Saint
