First Nations In Paraguay

There are 19 First Nation tribes in Paraguay.
The:
Guarani Nandeva,
Ishir Ybytoso,
Ava Guarani,
Mbya,
Toba Qom,
Toba Maskoy,
Enlhet Norte,
Exnet Sur,
Pai Tavytera,
Guana,
Angaite,
Tomaraho,
Guarani Occidental,
Nivacle,
Manjui,
Ayore,
Maka,
Ache,
Sanapana.

A few days ago I created the design used at the top of this article.
Hope you like it, anyway, please pray for these First Nation tribes.
They need the Bible in their language.
They need people to walk along side them and not in front.
They need encouragement from others.
They need to know that they have the call to missions just like you.
So please pray for them.

Embracing The Freedom You Already Have

Image result for You're Loved No Matter What: Freeing Your Heart from the Need to Be Perfect

Holley Gerth wrote an amazing book called You're Loved No Matter What.
(You can check out her website here)
I confess I haven't read the whole thing yet but so far it is really good.
Today I read chapter three about embracing the freedom you already have.
These are some of the things I learned:

1. Get brave and ask.

2. Take a chance.

3. Don't hesitate.

4. Don't not do something because you're
afraid you'll make a mistake, we all make mistakes.

5.Your human, stop trying to be perfect.

6. The more you get out and ask the easier it gets.

7. Use the freedom for God's glory.

8. Sometimes you have to just say "No."

9. Be yourself.

I'd recommend checking out her other books too.

I'll Be The Judge Of That

Everyone makes mistakes.
Only God is perfect.
Even Christians make mistakes,
mistakes they probably don't even know their making.
You and me make mistakes.
A few days ago, someone talked about another person with me.
We talked about how this person wasn't very gentle.
And instead of walking away and dropping the subject of
talking about a person behind their back.
I listened to them talk.
And then, I realized that we weren't doing the right thing.
We were talking about this person,
when we should have been talking to this person.

You see? Sinning is such an easy thing to do.
But the price to pay for sinning is high,
and lucky for us, Jesus paid that price for us on the cross.

So, try your best to leave the judging to God.
If those people did something wrong,
than that is between him or her and God.

The Door Is Open

Can you do me a favor?
Think of sin as a jail cell.
Everyone says that they don't like jail, right?
And when a person thinks of jail they picture a dirty place filled with rats.
But this jail has pillows, curtains, blankets,
everything that gives a human pleasure.
Who could resist that?
And Satan will leave that door wide open for us to leave,
but he knows that because this is a sinful world,
not very many people are going to want to leave.

Okay, now think about it like this.
God set us free.
He opened that cell door and said, "Come be apart of my family."
And He gave us a choose to stay in that comfortable cell,
or to live for Him and live forever, no matter the cost.

And if you stay in that cell...
one day while you are resting on your comfortable bed,
that door is going to slam in you face,
and all that pleasure is going to become your worst nightmare.

Live for God, He deserves it for never giving up on you,
for loving you the way He does.
Don't pretend to be happy,
don't pretend to enjoy your life with Christ.
LET IT BE REAL!

Be A Servant No Matter The Cost

Last week we went to Encarnacion, Paraguay,
for a conference called Disipulos A Las Nationes.
Or Disciples To The Nations.
We went for three days, and my family and
I volunteered to help with anything.

So the five of us helped with the sign-in, cleaning,
serving food, taking pictures, setting up the chairs and a few other things.

We served anyway we could.
And because we served our hearts out, people knew us,
they recognized us through our service.

I'm not going to tell you that being a servant is easy,
because really, it's just the opposite.

Instead of eating a full meal for lunch and supper like a lot of the other people,
my family and some of the other helpers had bread and soda for meals instead.
(But That was okay)

So you see,
being a servant might mean you have to give your bed for a few nights.
Or work from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Or miss a few meals.
But a lot of good comes from serving with your heart.

So, don't make serving a "Do I have too?".
Make serving a "I am here Lord, use me.".

Crazy MKs

So last week we went to visit a lot of our MK friends.
And my youngest brother decided to bring roller blades.
Lets just say that he rolled down a steep hill and
rolled face first into a wall at the end of the hill.
And to put it simply, he broke his nose.
(If you could pray for his surgery that would be great!)

Anyway, I made a lot of friends, from little kids to big kids, I had a lot of fun.
Sometimes my dad tells us, "You have to be friendly to make friends."

Having friends is so important!
Friends are the ones that get you through the hard times.
Through your struggles, through your sadness.
They are the ones that pray for you,
the ones that forgive you when you do something wrong.

Cherish your friends, and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I don't know if it's just in Paraguay or all around the world,
but here everyone is friends.

He Knew You The Whole Time

1 Peter 1:2

"God the Father knew you and chose you long ago,
and his Spirit has made you holy. As a result,
you have obeyed him and have been cleansed by
the blood of Jesus Christ.

May God give you more and more grace and peace."

Think about this verse...

(A) God knew you before you were born.

(B) God chose you to do things you can't even imagine.
(C) His Spirit made you holy.

God had your life planned out even when the Israelites
were coming out of Egypt.
Every mistake, every fall, every smile, every hug.
He planned all of it!

He literally knew you the whole time!

If this doesn't proof that God is real I don't know what will.
God died for us,
He died so that everyone else wouldn't die without eternal life.
Because He loves us with a perfect love.

God thought about you, but what about you?
What do you do to spend time with God?
Read your Bible for five minutes then forget it all and do things on your phone?
Do you really believe that is very fair to Him?
God deserves better from us.
So even if it's hard I encourage you to spend more time digging in God's Word.

For The First Time In Forever!

You might be the type of person that likes cereal, or you might not be.
 Me, I like cereal.
And we can get some kinds of cereal in Paraguay.
But we only buy it two, maybe three times a year.
Tonight I had cereal for the first time all year.
(And it tasted delicious!)
For the first time in forever, I realized that I ought to be thankful for everything
That's right, I said everything.
Cereal, school, friends, paint, a desk to do everything on,
that I know how to read and write, etc.

5 Great Things You Should Do With Your Family

I am going to name five things that my family
and I really enjoyed doing on furlough.

1. Flying kites.

2. The beach.

3. ATVs.

4. Going into a cave.

5. kayaking.

All of these things we did for the first time last year.
And they were all very fun and exciting.
Maybe you can think of a few other fun things to do with your family.
